Lululemon Top Picks
Hello and happy Sunday to all of you! I hope your Easter was wonderful!
After going to Houston two weeks ago, it’s been so nutty at work and at home and I feel like I’m still playing catch up!
I did want to share some of my favorite lululemon picks this spring that I bought while I was in Houston. Lululemon is one of my favorite brands and a go-to when I’m shopping for athletic wear that’s comfortable and trendy. I’ve had some of my lululemon pants for 5 plus years and you would never know when you see them on me that they’ve been in my closet that long!
Also, I’ve talked about this on the blog before but I really do love supporting cool brands that walk the walk and talk the talk. My best friend worked at one of their stores in New York city and the stories I heard from her about the training, teamwork and amazingness in general that comes out of that place, made me truly feel confident that I can invest my dollars there.
I bought three pieces and spent about $200. I know, lululemon is pricey but with athletic wear, I feel like you get what you pay for. I work out 5 days a week and I sweat HARD so I’m willing to invest in better pieces that will still look amazing after I wash them 10,000 times.
The first piece I bought, was their Turn About Tank in Viridian Green. It was $58.00 and I love that I can wear it in two ways since I can tie it in the back or tie it in the front. It’s super flattering and when I’m cycling or doing something in bootcamp, the tank isn’t falling off of my shoulders. I love the way it fits on my body and I choose to rock it with high waisted yoga pants.
The second and third piece I bought, I’m wearing together as an ensemble. The white mesh top with the bra on the inside is nothing short of amazing. It’s the Revitalize Tank Transformable and I bought it in white for $64! I love love love love this piece because it makes me feel a little sexy, but in a tasteful way. When I walk into the gym, I have to be ready to work and feel confident and this tank top definitely gives me that “let’s get after it” feeling! The pants I paired with it are lululemon’s High Times Pant and they are full on luxtreme. I bought them for $98 and they are super comfy, amazing pants!
I do want to give a shout out to lululemon for truly giving me such badass customer service in Houston. Originally, I’ve usually bought size 6 in lululemon pants but when I tried them on in the store while on vacation, one of their sales associates told me I needed to size down to 4. I did what she said — and I was amazed at how much better the pants I bought looked and felt on my body! It turns out, I’ve been wearing the wrong size lululemon pants for months, but I never noticed the extra fabric in certain areas on my body, meant I needed to size down. This particular sales associate took the time to explain to me why I needed a 4 and she walked me through every different kind of pants and what the utility of each pant was. When I checked out, I was really confident that the pair she helped me pick out, would work well for the type of exercise I do.
That’s it on this Sunday! Coming up this week, some of my favorites this month from Buckle and a new Hustle Smart post about how to negotiate the small things to save you money!
