It’s been a CRAZY last three weeks. First, my blog crashed and I had to figure out what the heck was wrong with it (which I did) and on top of that, I finished my training at a studio I’m teaching at (yay!) and work ramped up! Well — I’m back. =)
One thing I’ve learned about blogging and my own experience managing my time and trying to keep things organized is this: you can’t feel guilty for putting yourself first. For the last month and a half, I’ve had to do ME and focus on what’s important in my life RIGHT NOW. And usually, I would guilt myself about not writing enough or posting enough, but at this point, I’ve gotten over that. If you do what makes you happy and you prioritize what’s important in your life, you’ll always stay sane. Right now, I’m happy, healthy and feeling like the work/life balance is on point and that’s what matters!
This outfit I’m spotlighting this week is one of my new favorites and like the title says, it definitely has some Southwestern vibes! I bought the skirt from Buckle (it’s a Levi’s skirt), the top from Ann Taylor and the Toms online! It’s a great outfit for going out or attending an event. The skirt is super comfortable and the top is one of my all-time faves from Ann Taylor.
I really love picking out work tops from Ann Taylor that are trendy, and I can wear them to work but I can also wear the top with something else that takes it up a notch. Ann Taylor has a ton of sales so you can usually find something like this on their sale rack online right here: https://www.anntaylor.com/.
The Levi’s skirt is on my list of Buckle favorites this month. Totally comfortable AND most importantly, it doesn’t stretch out after you wear it! That’s huge for me, because a lot of denim eventually stretches on me and I get super frustrated! You can find the skirt online here: https://www.buckle.com/levis-denim-skirt/prd-52100349630002/sku-8016992400.
The Toms are from last season but any basic, neutral sandal with this outfit works. The key is to pair a neutral shoe, to downplay the fun, top! Okay guys, that’s it for me this week! Drop a line and let me know your thoughts on the outfit!
