It is FINALLY spring!
THANK HEAVENS! I feel like we’ve all been waiting around for winter to slowly slink away. This past Sunday, it was a whopping 90 degrees and I got so much done for the blog it’s not even funny. It can be really frustrating trying to take pictures in the winter and while Nebraska may have a few cold days still ahead, I think the worst is over.
We did manage to get a ton of outfits shot this past weekend! And the thing about my style…I can’t really put a label or title on it. One day, I’ll walk into work wearing all black head to toe and the next day I’m rocking the brightest outfit you’ve ever seen. But, on the weekends the most comfortable outfit I wear is a graphic tee and jeans.
This outfit is one of my absolute favorites. I bought the “Cheat Day” shirt from Buckle in Lincoln, the jeans from Flying Monkey, the brand, new Rebecca Minkoff purse from eBay and the cheetah shoes at DSW (Steve Madden). I paired a black lace bandeau underneath the tank to give it an edgy feel that fits ME. A black bandeau can always take an outfit up a notch!
So obviously, I’m wearing a shirt that says “Cheat Day” so I had to well, cheat. In Lincoln, there’s a delicious local ice cream shop called “Ivanna Cone” in the Haymarket downtown. It’s a great tourist destination for those visiting and a novel little shop. This local ice cream shop offers flavors like chicken and waffles, cinnamon coffee and banana rice krispie. I can’t resist grabbing some ice cream if I happen to walk by it. =)
The day of this shoot I let loose. got some strawberry ice cream and crammed it into my mouth as I sat on a bench outside letting someone (my awesome photographer) take pictures of me. The things we do for Instagram right? Hopefully you guys enjoyed a little outfit inspiration and don’t forget…it’s totally okay to have a little cheat day. =)
